Watch chains have been around since the 16th century, but peaked in popularity in the late 1800’s- early 1900’s, where nearly every man affixed one to his ensemble to wear with a pocket watch. Adapted by the wives of soldiers in WWI who wore their chains around their neck as mementos. And the rest is history….

Tastes come and go, but the watch chain is one of the most enduringly popular pieces I offer- especially when I can find harder to source longer lengths! 

This pristine example is a wearable 18.5", solid, and has perfectly functioning original clasps (and a swiveling dog clip!).
