In the mid 20th century, the American jeweler Merrin established themselves as the preeminent luxury jeweler and charm manufacturer, later specializing in the romantic tradition of Love Tokens.
The brand was founded by Joseph Merrin in New York — a family jewelry house esteemed for their craftsmanship throughout the 1900s. Their love token charms echoed the Victorian and Georgian practice of exchanging tokens of devotion — heirloom pieces designed to be worn, kept, and loved across generations.
This is one of their most rare designs I’ve had the pleasure to offer. It is an incredible large scale 18k, enamel, and diamond pendant with “I LOVE YOU” written in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. Dated August 1969 on the reverse side, it’s now ready for the next chapter in your own love story.
