This alluring garnet ring has a distinctly ancient feel- partially due to the unique sugarloaf cabochon stone, one of the first gemstone cuts. The rich 18k gold and squared off face also lend a classical feel, giving it a truly timeless aesthetic. I could see this in a Renaissance portrait or found in an Egyptian Tomb. 

It appears to be a designer-made piece, though I cannot make out the exact markings. A beautifully rendered design!
