Washington Monument 14k Stanhope Viewer Charm

| /

A brilliant three-dimensional 14k Washington monument charm, with a twist!

This charm features a Stanhope lens- a tiny peephole containing a microphotograph. The lens was invented by Charles, the 3rd Earl of Stanhope in the late 18th century. Stanhope charms were commonly used in travel souvenirs beginning the mid-1800's through the 1970s and can be hard to find in good condition today. When you peer inside this one, you'll find a black and white map of the capital. A really awesome collector's piece! Stats: 1" Inch Tall 14k Gold 3.5 Gram
